The whole friends to lovers idea is one of my ABSOLUTELY favorite story-lines so I’m very excited to welcome Sheena Binkley as she shares a little about herself AND her awesome series!

*****

*What do you like best about writing romances?

The best thing about writing romances is the creating a relationship and seeing the progress of that relationship being developed. From the first encounter, to the first date, being able to go through the journey of a relationship between two people is great to read, because readers might be able to relate to certain events or emotions that a character might be going through.

Also, I love to write a HEA for any couple. After everything a couple might encounter, you would want to root for them to reach their HEA at the end of the story.

*What is your favorite romantic story (movie/book, fact/fiction)?

One of my favorite romantic stories is Sleepless in Seattle. That was one of my mom’s favorite movies and we used to constantly watch it. I loved the entire concept of the movie and of course the characters, especially towards the end when Sam (Tom Hanks) and Annie (Meg Ryan) meet at the Empire State Building.

*If you could be any romantic character, who would it be and why?

If I could be any romantic character, I would have to say Tia from A Chance at Love. She endured so much in the story and the idea that she was able to have a second chance with her childhood sweetheart is amazing. That, and the way Charles was with her in the story, I would had definitely wanted to be in her shoes!

*Which of your characters/books was the most fun to write?

I had a great time writing all of my books, but I think A Chance at Love was my ultimate favorite, because it featured great characters that were strong and independent, but they also had various flaws that they admitted at the end of the story. I also loved the slow buildup between the main characters and how much they realized that they were meant to be with each other.

*If you weren’t a writer and could be anything you want, what would it be?

If I wasn’t a writer, I think I would either be an event coordinator (like Camille in In Love With My Best Friend), or an entertainment reporter. I did want to be a reporter when I was going to college, and that’s something that I find interesting to pursue.

Book 1

Blurb:

Camille Anderson always lived life on the straight and narrow- she never took a chance in life, especially with her best friend, Trevor Williams. The two were next door neighbors and experienced almost everything together. Although the two told each other everything, there was one thing Camille never admitted to Trevor and that was her feelings for him. After being out of town for a job position, Trevor returns to Houston with a new fiancé. He always looked at Camille as just his best friend, but at his engagement party, he starts to look at her in a different light, making him wonder if he is marrying the right woman. With a string of events involving the pair, as well as loyal friends dishing out romance advice, the two realize that being more than friends may not be such a bad idea. In fact, it could be what they needed all along.

Book 2

Blurb:

Tia Simmons has been happily dating Eric Taylor for the past six months, and could possibly see a future with him. He’s everything Tia wants in a man- smart, funny, and extremely sexy, but she feels something is missing in the relationship. Until she finds what she’s looking for, she’ll be with Eric as long as she can.

Charles Robinson always dated women without the concept of falling in love. He doesn’t even want to think about the word considering he was at one point in his life. When his ex arrives claiming she wants another chance with him, he starts to rethink the notion that love is not a bad thing.

Although the two are living their lives, they both are centered around their best friends, Camille Anderson and Trevor Williams, who are madly in love. Seeing the two together put their own lives in prospective and wonder if their lives are where they should be. But there is one problem that have plagued them both.

Tia and Charles have known each other since high school. They were actually good friends, until one night changed their relationship forever. After that night, the two have been distanced, causing them to snip at each other any chance they got. But when a new merger unexpectedly puts Tia and Charles in the same company, the two have to come together not only for a big account, but also to settle their differences before both are out of a job.

Through a string of events, including a drunken night out, a game of strip Twister, and a wedding, the two realize that love can come when they least expect it.

Book 3

Blurb:

Camille Anderson has been dreaming about her wedding with Trevor Williams since she first laid eyes on him in her driveway 18 years ago. Now that her dream is coming true, she doesn’t want anything to interfere with her special day. But when issues surrounding her parents, an office scandal and Trevor’s nosy cousin come into play, Camille wonders if her dream day will go up in smoke.

Trevor Williams doesn’t want anything to go wrong with his wedding with Camille. He wants to do everything perfectly; but when he is faced with an important decision, he soon realizes that not everything in life will be the way he wants it.

With the issues that are surrounding them, they soon have to re-evaluate the love they have for each other and most importantly, the friendship they deeply cherish.

The Wedding Part II

Book 4

Blurb:

Tia Simmons can’t wait to be Mrs. Charles Robinson. She has everything planned, from the venue to the caterer, making everything completely perfect. Or, so she thought. When she hires Camille to be her wedding coordinator, paranoia comes into play when she thinks her best friend is trying to sabotage her wedding. Along with the issues she’s having with Camille, she also has to deal with her new extended family, making her wonder if she’s going nuts. But when unexpected news shatters Tia’s world, she’s not sure if she should tell anyone about it or if she should keep it to herself until the wedding is over.

Charles Robinson is totally in love with Tia and would do anything for their special day. Whatever Tia wants, he’s in agreement with. Except hiring Camille as their wedding coordinator. When issues clash between the three, will it test their friendship? Along with the issues he’s having with the reappearance of his father and a brother who can’t be trusted, Charles has to wonder which is more important – trying to do the right thing or being happy.
