A husky chuckle floats across the table, and she canโt help but be instantly attracted. She canโt see his face, but with a voice like that, it doesnโt even matter what he looks like. โIs that because Iโm your fourth date or are you ranking us? Whatโs my competition look like?โ
All thoughts of being ladylike go out the window as Tinley lets out a full-blown belly laugh. If this guy only knew. โIf by ranking, you mean which date was the worst, itโs hard to tell at this point.โ
โIs that so? I had some pretty bad ones myself.โ
She laughs internally at the disastrous dates sheโs had so far. Thereโs no way he can compete. โI donโt know, my dates were pretty awful. I donโt think you can top them.โ
โYou want to bet?โ
โOh, weโre making bets now? I guess our relationship just cranked up a notch. Instead of it just being a blind date, weโre now at the blind acquaintance level.โ
Sheโs not sure where this level of confidence came from, but sheโs liking how easily the conversation is flowing with this guy. Itโs completely effortless and sheโs just comfortable. Itโs never been this way with anyone before.
โIs that a thing?โ
โIt is now.โ She finds herself nodding along as she answers until she remembers he canโt actually see her.
