Review:

I’ll be honest, I thought this was a romance but that’s not really what I got. Instead we experience Joanna’s journey – from having to sit next to gruff Connor on the plane, to their time on the island, and then, once they are rescued, how she has to find her regular life again. Every time she turns around she’s experiencing something new and challenging, so she has to figure out whether she’s strong enough to conquer it.

As much as I liked this book, which I did, I found myself wishing for more – more of what had to be great moments on the island and more romance (I was disappointed that Connor was missing for at least 50% of the story). Probably because I was expecting a romance 🙂 But as a women’s fiction piece – a chance to see Joanna grow and change thanks to her experiences – it was very enjoyable. And I just know that with the right mindset it would have been even more so.
